farther along.

too small and powerful words.

and yet.

where the world puts a period.
God says...and yet.

"Farther along we’ll know all about it
Farther along we’ll understand why
Cheer up my brothers, live in the sunshine

We’ll understand this, all by and by"
-Josh Garrels

God says...and yet.

it is unbelievable to me to realize that there is no limit to our freedom in Christ.
we are not what we think we are. we are more. we are redeemed.
we are known. we are accounted for.

when we choose to build walls for ourselves, we can become more consumed in tending the wall than in living in the freedom that Christ intended for us. we may think that by putting up walls "of protection" - we are "guarding our hearts". but why put a wall where God is busy pulling them down. we are meant to live lives as dreamers. always rising to new heights. our tiny human minds cannot fathom what it means to have no limits. we feel like we are cheating when we aren't following rules. but maybe, God wanted us to feel like rebels.

believing in One who is matchless, unfathomable, uncontainable...is pretty rebellious I'd say.

learn to live in the wide open space. take freedom as the gift it was intended to be.
