a thing of beauty.

labor day weekend. 

a weekend when i don't labor, however somehow feel extremely tired and unrested by the end of it. 

this year was no exception!

last week and going into this weekend was the whole summer packed into a week. 

we finally got hot temps and muggy nights and it was no surprise that it remained this way as the end of summer came to be. 

friday was the home opener of the Michigan State football season and i was privileged to get the day off work and attend again! 

there is just something about going back to campus now - as i become more and more removed from the "college dayz" i become more and more nostalgic when i get to return to that beautiful campus! 

great friends and great memories - it really can't be beat. 

it was a fun and warm tailgate - but just before halftime a huge storm hit and Lauren and i were trying to bust out of the stadium to keep dry! biggest raindrops i've been stuck in for some time!! it was a fun memory though - after the game got delayed, we watched the remainder in a warm, dry house with drinks and popcorn. can't complain!!

saturday and sunday were days with my main squeeze. planning, dreaming and looking forward to the future. keeping perspective and praying that the details get worked out magically! ha. 

sunday night eric and his roommates had a fun get together/house warming party and we spent the evening circled around a citronella candle in the driveway, telling stories of our old pets. 

there were some great ones. 

monday, we spent time with each of our parents, which was super nice. 

then we went back to the GR to have a birthday dinner to celebrate that best friend of mine turning the big 2-5. it was a fun night and a great weekend. i really can't complain when i have 4 days off in a row! 

here is to a short week and fun times ahead!
