smooth reggae style. (music monday)

took a little break last week for tha new year. i trust that everyone was still able to listen to some tunes at their pleasure though, so i am not worried about it! i received some new reggae on a cd from a close friend a few weeks ago and have been listening to it a lot - so naturally i am in the mood to share some of my favs. 

between jack and reggae, that pretty much covers my musical favorites. the sounds are mellow and totally capture my personality - low key, laid back and a little bit of soul of course :) plus they pretty much have beaches and water dripping out of the chords.

also - i know i haven't posted much content in the last month. things got cray with school and life in general has thrown some huge curveballs, so i have been slowly and prayerfully processing and will hopefully be penning some of those musings this week for you to pick at if you feel so inclined.

age old trade.

eric came up for the day and we got to hang out for 24 hours! always a welcomed treat since we have been living a little over an hour apart since this summer. we went out to a little restaurant in downtown GR called Cottage Bar for some really good burgers, hit the mall for some Christmas returns and met up with my roommate Shan and her fiance to watch the Lion's football game (sadly, they lost).

my home church, Riverview showed this video today during the service recapping some pretty powerful moments that happened in our world over the last year. what do you think about it? i honestly didn't even know much if anything about some of it! i should probably get on that in this here new year.

now i am just getting ready to start my new job tomorrow! wahoo! wish me luck!
